After a dismal 5-13 start to Grapefruit League play this spring, the Marlins ended on a strong note going 9-1-1 in their final 11 games, finishing the exhibition season 15-15. Unfortunately, the Fish lost their Spring Training finale to the Mets by a score of 6-3. Let’s hope this is not a foreshadowing of the opening series versus New York starting Friday night.
The Marlins also opened the 2010 season against the Mets, but in Queens. This year the Marlins begin at home. Josh Johnson will take the mound hoping to build on his last two outstanding seasons.
