Week in review

Opening Day was last Thursday, and there has been plenty of action since then. Surprising starts by teams all over the league have provided much excitement in the first week.

Starting with the defending World Series contenders, the Rangers got off to a 6-0 start hitting 11 home runs in their opening series versus Boston. And the reigning champion San Fransisco Giants only won two of their first six match ups. They are currently last in the NL West.

In the American League East, the Baltimore Orioles hit the ground running with a 5-1 start, sweeping the Rays in the opening series. It has been the opposite for the Boston Red Sox who just won their first game this afternoon. Tampa Bay plays later tonight looking for their first win.

It’s too early to tell what is going to go down this summer, but drama is inevitable.
