Morrison returing; Earthquake damage

After Leo Nuñez blew a two run lead last night to give the Marlins their sixth straight loss, the team optioned OF Dwayne Wise to triple-A New Orleans and called up Logan Morrison. He was optioned down a week and a half ago and only played 6 games with the Zephyrs. He is in the lineup for game one of the double header, playing left field and batting third.

Since the stint in the minors was so short, it seems now the reason for his demotion was to show him the Marlins weren’t playing around. Hopefully this will set him straight and won’t happen again.

Earthquake Damage:
The 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck just 50 miles from my house and about 90 miles from D.C yesterday afternoon. Nationals Park delayed its opening until 6:40 and pushed back the game start time to 7:25. Almost all my shelved baseball memorabilia took a tumble yesterday. The only thing damaged was the case that housed my baseball signed by Jeff Conine.
